Matt works full time for Storehouse as their partnership manager. He is responsible for building relationships with those that help support Storehouse, raising funds and awareness, and is also involved with all the day to day stuff too.
After taking early retirement from his very amateur football career, Matt has been cycling for just over a year, commuting most days to work, and putting in the longer miles at the weekend. He is married to the lovely Rachel, and has a dog called Hank.
Johnny is currently a pastoral intern with Belfast City Vineyard and part time software engineer. His life looks like a lot of travelling to and from Bangor and Belfast between home and work and spending some of those trips on the bike. Usually when wet and wind can't be an excuse.
Andy is currently working a 9-5 desk job. To keep things interesting he partakes in the occasional ultra-marathon, usually arriving to the start line realising I’m one of the most under prepared and undertrained at the line up! He loves being outdoors and will give any challenge a go. As a runner instead of a cyclist, MizMal will be a real challenge as the furthest cycle he had completed before 2020 was a 60 mile jaunt around Strangford lough.
Aaron is the cycling novice of the group who is still wondering how a camping holiday suggestion along the Wild Atlantic Way has resulted in him having to cycle the length of Ireland.
As a filmmaker he is fortunate to have traveled the world with various not for profits but this will be one of his biggest ever challenges.
After 13 years living in England, Aaron returned with his wife Ruth and son Seth (along with a peculiar accent) to Belfast in 2017.
Philip Nicolls is married to Nicola and is frequently outsmarted by his three awesome kids. He is a member of ChristChurch Belfast and works cross border at Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Mostly a leisure and commuter cyclist, Philip can be found slogging through the dark, wind and sideways rain on the Lagan towpath, or scoffing the toffee scones on a Saturday morning bun run.
Philip is relying on his fellow sci-fi nerds (and anyone reading this bio) for some sponsorship!
Richard is a husband and dad to 3 boys currently setting up a software company in Belfast. Originally a fell runner he now likes burning off any excess energy cycling as many miles possible.
He is relishing 6 days uninterrupted hard cycling
